WHEN DO YOU NEED TO RE-CAULK?

Since caulking degrades over time due to wear and tear from the environment, here are some signs to look out for to determine if your building needs to be re-caulked. 

 

  • Visible cracking of caulking beads

TEMPERATURE AND SILICONE SEALANT

You can apply a silicone sealant to your windows and doors regardless of the temperature outside. Certain silicone sealants can be applied in temperatures as low as -20° F or -29° C. However, it is important to note that the colder the temperature, the longer it will take for the sealant to cure.
